Consistent Content for Social Media

When I wrote my first book twelve years ago, my then-publisher insisted I start a blog and begin sharing on social media.

He suggested 2-3 blog posts a week, but I settled on one. With five kids, I knew I had enough time to write one good piece a week. Anything more would have been poorly written without strong content. I used WordPress and began posting every Monday and sharing too Facebook.

Since then, I have grown to a total 100,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram, and Substack, and I have expanded beyond just the weekly blog post into reels, stories, essays, and video.

I think of it as a machine: good content drives viewers, which helps gain followers. The bigger your audience, the more chances for speaking engagements, book deals, and influencing opportunities.
