I wrote my first blog post on May 9th, 2012. My son Jack was eight.
I promised myself I’d write one blog post a week and publish it on Monday. That’s all – just a short essay between 500-800 words. But even though I had already written a book, and was familiar with organizing larger amounts of content, this felt like a chore. It weighted on me all week and I often waited until the kids were in bed Sunday evening to frantically work on it.
After about a year, I realized it was more important to write a little every single day, even if was only a few words in the Notes section on my phone.
But how?
How do you carve out time for something that won’t make you money – at least not right away? Something that to others, may seem trivial and impractical?
